1. Food Vocabulary: Masculine or Feminine?
Write “le”, “la”, or “les” for each food noun (type the correct article and noun in French):

4. Writing Challenge
List 5 masculine food nouns and 5 feminine food nouns (in French, with articles).
Notes:
Gender hints: Many food nouns are masculine (le pain, le riz, le poisson), but many are feminine (la pomme, la carotte, la salade). Plurals use “les”.
Partitives: Use du/de la for “some” (du pain, de la salade).
Plural alert: Les œufs (eggs), les pommes de terre (potatoes), les tomates (tomatoes) are plural.
