In today’s lecture, we explored three key verbs - venir, être en train de, and aller - and how they can help us talk about the past, present, and future without having to conjugate the second verb. This is such a game-changer because it simplifies sentence construction and makes navigating French so much easier.

For example:

Venir de + infinitive lets you talk about something you just did (past).

Être en train de + infinitive describes what you’re doing right now (present).

Aller + infinitive helps you talk about what you’re going to do (future).

These structures are incredibly handy, especially when you’re still getting comfortable with French conjugation. They’re like little shortcuts that make expressing yourself in French feel more natural and less overwhelming. If you’re learning French, I highly recommend practicing these with these verbs: example_1, example_2- they’ll make a big difference!
